Stephanie is a life-long resident of Hamilton, NJ. She is the mother of two young adults with Down Syndrome and complex medical needs, John and Sara. She has been an advocate for over twenty-five years consistently working to improve healthcare, education and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. Most recently, she spearheaded and managed the CHOP NJ Transition to Adult Comprehensive Care program (NJ TACC). This program was created specifically to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in NJ with the complexities of transitioning vital medical, community and support services into adulthood.
In 2010, she founded Valuable Partners, LLC, a consulting firm working to educate healthcare professionals, patients and families on the practice of patient and family-centered care partnerships to enhance care coordination and improve outcomes for complex patients. In 2022, she created the Valuable Partners: Advanced Learning Program and Skill building (ALPS) that encourages all community members to reach their highest potential in inclusive, educational and social settings.
Tess is a graduate of The College of New Jersey where she earned a Master's Degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. She has 8+ years of experience as a care provider for young adults with developmental disabilities in Mercer County.
In 2020, she joined Valuable Partners as a Program Manager in order to create an innovative community based program for individuals with intellectual disabilities to learn, socialize, and give back to their community. As co-creator and manager of ALPS, Tess works to create enriching curriculums that are inclusive to learners of all ages and abilities.
